Excelsior Parco

Excelsior Parco is a villa raised in 1906 on the ruins of an ancient Roman house above Marina Grande. The Art Nouveau style survives in hand-painted majolica floors, floral tilework and wrought detailing across eleven rooms, each decorated differently. Room sizes vary. The Deluxe 1906 suite, on the second floor, occupies the villa's most panoramic point and was once the owners' own quarters. Another suite is named for Fersen, in tribute to the early twentieth-century Capri figure linked to Villa Lysis. Most rooms open onto private terraces facing the Gulf of Naples. It is a compact hotel. Dining runs through Teritoria, the restaurant circuit associated with Alain Ducasse, serving Italian dishes built on organic and local ingredients, with meals served in the garden, the Liberty-style lounge or the terrace. The Perrier-Jouët Champagne Garden Bar and a seaview lounge terrace pour champagne by the glass, including Dom Pérignon and small-production labels, against the Gulf of Naples. A wine list runs to Solaia, Sassicaia, Gaja and Tignanello. Breakfast is served buffet-style or à la carte, with vegan and gluten-free options, on the terrace or in-room at no extra charge. Boats leave from Marina Grande for tours around the island, including the Faraglione arch, aboard traditional wooden gozzi or motor launches.
