Fairmont Royal York

Fairmont Royal York is a 1929 hotel on Front Street West, built when the railway still shaped how travellers arrived in Toronto. The lobby and public rooms keep period details from that era, set against a hotel that has since modernised its guest floors. Rooms range from traditional Fairmont doubles to open-concept Deluxe and Signature rooms with sofas, writing desks and city views; several categories include Nespresso or Keurig machines and Le Labo bath amenities. It is a large hotel, and the room count runs into the thousands rather than the hundreds. Fairmont Gold occupies the 18th floor, with its own check-in, a private lounge, morning breakfast and evening canapés, plus Bathorium aromatherapy treatments and a pillow menu. Bathrooms in Gold rooms are finished in marble, with walk-in aromatherapy showers. You can watch the city change light from a Signature room's living area, then head down to the health club or indoor pool. Junior and Executive suites add second bathrooms and dining space for up to four. Shops and several restaurants operate on site, along with bars.
