Fraser Suites Geneva
Built to house Rolex's headquarters, the building on Rue du Marché now holds sixty-seven serviced suites at the centre of Geneva's shopping district. The address puts guests within walking distance of Lake Geneva, the Jet d'Eau, St Peter's Cathedral and the Old Town, and close to Cornavin station and the financial quarter. Suites run from 44 to 95 m², each with its own kitchen, a living and dining area, and a desk. The Premier Suite looks over Place de la Fusterie and the Rhône; the Family Suite links two rooms into 95 m² for up to six guests. Geneva Airport is around 20 minutes away by taxi, and extended-stay guests get free run of the city's buses, trains and trams on a transport card. It is a short walk to the United Nations Office, the WHO and Palais des Nations, which makes the property a regular base for diplomatic and institutional travel as much as business or medical stays. Housekeeping, Wi-Fi and a twenty-four-hour reception run throughout, alongside a gym and a laundry room. Rooms keep their finishes plain and functional rather than showy: flat-screen televisions, compact kitchenettes, work desks built for long stints rather than weekend visits. You can walk to the Rue du Rhône shops in minutes. The result reads less like a hotel than a well-run flat in a building with a past worth mentioning.
