Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui

Tongsai Bay, on the northern tip of Koh Samui, holds this 81-room resort across 28 acres of hillside running down to a private stretch of sand. Buildings step down the slope in tiers, so that nearly every suite and villa looks out over coconut palms to the water below. Rooms come in three main types: beachfront suites in a three-storey block behind the main pool, seafront suites set along the front row of the hill in timber-clad, split-level layouts, and hillside pool suites tucked among coconut trees with their own plunge pools. Two villa categories add a private pool apiece, one with an in-room exercise area. Each room carries a deep soaking tub positioned for a sea view, a detail repeated across every category. Guests can walk the organic garden that supplies the kitchens, or join a cooking class using produce grown a few minutes from the property. Four restaurants cover the range, from Thai comfort food and a bakery-driven breakfast at Rhoy Rhoy! to seafood at Fish Tales and cocktails at the beachfront Po-Lad bar. The spa runs five treatment suites set among the grounds. It is a quiet, tiered stay rather than a flat beachfront block. Check-in is from 3pm, checkout by noon.
