Set on Mureru Farm near Naro Moru, tents face Mount Kenya's slopes directly

Set on Mureru Farm in Nyeri County, the lodge faces Mount Kenya across open farmland close to Naro Moru, a few minutes from Nanyuki and its airstrip. Nine or so deluxe glamping tents (exact count not specified) are raised on platforms, each with electricity, proper beds, a private bathroom and a terrace fitted with outdoor furniture. Mornings open straight onto the mountain. The restaurant and bar run on a mountain view, serving Kenyan and international plates from grilled sirloin to tilapia and vegetable curries, with a full breakfast buffet included. A pool sits among the outdoor seating areas, and parking and reception are handled on site. Guests can spend evenings by the bar with a cocktail and the peak lit gold at last light. Beyond the tents, the lodge runs game drives, horseback riding, cycling and hiking, and organises guided wildlife photography trips into Kenya's parks with a specialist driver-guide. It is a compact stay. Trips further afield reach Lake Naivasha, Nakuru, Solio and the Masai Mara for rhino, big cats and, in season, the wildebeest crossings. Back at the lodge, the pace slows again: canvas walls, a farm gate, and Mount Kenya holding the skyline through every window.
