Golden Tulip Riyadh
A four-star Riyadh base built for business and unhurried breaks alike
Fitted with kitchenettes and washing machines in every room, Golden Tulip Riyadh Hotel is built for travellers who stay more than a night or two. The hotel holds 94 rooms, including 15 suites, arranged as Classic, Superior and Suite categories, each with air conditioning, a flat-screen television and a safety box. Bathrooms come with showers, hairdryers and the usual toiletries; a tray with tea and coffee sits by the kettle in every room. It is an adults-only property. Set on King Abdullah Road in central Riyadh, the hotel is about 30 km from King Khalid International Airport, roughly a half-hour drive, with the railway station a short trip away. The Riyadh Convention Centre is three minutes by car, and the Al Rajhi Mosque and King Khalid Grand Mosque are both close enough for an afternoon out. Tulip Restaurant runs all day, Coffee & Co covers the quieter breaks, and Jasmine, the alcohol-free pool bar, looks over the city from the terrace. You can work a full day and still find the fitness centre and outdoor pool open come evening. For meetings, three halls handle groups from 15 to 80 people, backed by a business centre and a front desk staffed around the clock. Check-in runs from noon.
