Grace of Africa Nature Lodge, Big5 Kruger Safari

Marloth Park sits against the southern boundary of Kruger National Park, and Grace of Africa is built into that edge, a short drive from the Crocodile Bridge gate. The river itself runs nearby, and elephant, kudu and warthog move freely through the unfenced grounds outside the lodge. It is a small property, with three suites: Marula, Chestnut and Knobthorn. Each has air conditioning, mosquito netting, an open-plan lounge, a private bathroom and an outdoor shower, plus a patio deck facing the bush. Suites come with a kitchen, so guests can cook their own meals between drives. An infinity pool overlooks the treeline, and a butler service runs around the clock for those who would rather not. Mornings start with a half-day drive into Kruger in an open safari vehicle, tracking the Big Five across the park's southern floodplains; guides can extend this to a full day on request, with a stop at a rest camp for lunch. Afternoons bring river walks along the Crocodile, sundowners on the bank, or a cultural visit to nearby Matsamo village. Wi-fi reaches the suites and the public areas alike. The lodge sits inside a low-risk malaria zone, on the park's southern rim, and staff are used to answering questions about it.
