Grecotel LUX ME White Palace

Reached along Crete's north coast near Rethymno, the resort steps down from white, open-plan terraces to a stretch of sand and pebble beach a kilometre long. The beach carries Blue Flag status, and the water is clear enough to see the seagrass meadows a short swim out. Twenty-two pools are scattered through the grounds: a heated main pool, a family pool, a children's pool, eight shared pools attached to certain rooms, and eleven private pools reserved for the Yali Suites. Public spaces run white and light-filled, a deliberate palette that gives the resort its name. Rooms come with sea views, and some open directly onto their own pool or a shared one.
