Green Berg Resorts
Sixty-five acres of hillside valley in Idukki, nine lakes, eighteen cottages
Skip to product information
Idukki's hill country holds GreenBerg Holiday Resorts on 65 acres of valley above Kulamavu, its cottages set apart in a landscape of tea, cardamom, and forest. The resort has nine water bodies, formed through a ground-water recharge project, and used for boating, kayaking, and bamboo rafting. It is a working stay as much as a scenic one. The property runs its own dairy and poultry farm, supplying the kitchen with milk, paneer, and chicken raised without antibiotics. Eighteen cottages sit in different styles, water-front, garden-front, or apartment, alongside a tree house cottage overlooking a lake and tea estate. Days run to jeep safaris along soft and hard off-road routes into the forest, river crossings, and treks that push into elephant country under ranger guidance. Evenings settle around a campfire, the air cool at this elevation even when the plains below run warm. A 350-metre walkway crosses the grounds, and a large pool gives space for pool games and children's water slides. You can hear birdsong close against the hills from a cottage veranda, or take a plantation tour through paddy fields and spice groves. It is a resort built around movement through its own land, not a fixed view. Thodupuzha lies 35 kilometres off, Cochin 95.
