Guanahani Beach Club

Fringed by a sickle-shaped bay of reef and cays, Snow Bay lies calm behind its own natural breakwater, giving Guanahani Beach Club a flat-water lagoon just steps from its four villas. The sand runs pale and fine underfoot, free of stone or coral, and the water stays shallow for a long stretch before dropping away. Three one-bedroom villas and one two-bedroom villa sit close to the shore, built with oak flooring, teak furniture and louvered wooden doors, kept mostly white to match the sea and surrounding bush. Each has a veranda facing the bay. Trade winds blow steady and side-on from late October to April, between 15 and 25 knots, which is why the resort keeps its own kite storage, complete with fresh water for rinsing gear and a transfer service to and from the airport. Snorkelling and diving reach out to High Cay, Low Cay and Middle Cay, all visible from the beach, with visibility that regularly hits 150ft. Kayaks and paddleboards are free to use. It is a small, quiet stay: four villas only, no crowds on the water, and a beach where, more often than not, your footprints from the day before are the only ones there.
