Haritha Villas + Spa
Haritha Villas + Spa is a hillside resort above Narigama Beach, on Sri Lanka's southern coast near Hikkaduwa. Tree canopy covers the ridge, and each villa or mansion looks out over jungle and treetops rather than the sea itself. The Contemporary Villas run to 115 square metres, each with its own plunge pool measuring 3 by 5 metres set into a private courtyard. Colonial Mansions scale up considerably: the one- and two-bedroom versions reach 462 and 485 square metres, while the combined estate spans 2,353 square metres and includes an 86 square metre infinity pool. Rooms carry Bose speakers, an iPad, rain showers and 600-thread count linen, with an on-site restaurant serving a fusion of Sri Lankan and international dishes. Beyond the villas, the coast supplies the rest of the itinerary. Whale watching trips leave from Mirissa, a 63 km run, tracking seven species of whale and two of dolphin between November and April. Divers can reach a wreck site just 4 km away, and deep-sea fishing boats depart at sunrise for tuna, grouper and barracuda. You can walk to the beach from the villas in a few minutes. A spa on site offers in-room treatments, and each stay comes with a dedicated villa host. Check-in runs from 2pm.
