Hilltop on High Street

Hilltop on High Street is a boutique bed and breakfast providing accommodation in four guest bedrooms. The house is a historic, 110-year-old grand house complete with verandas, ornate plastered ceilings, period fireplaces in living and bedroom areas, and a sweeping central staircase. The quality Iranian and Turkish hand knotted carpets, curtains and furnishings are all in keeping with the building’s character. Many original artworks adorn the walls adding to the pleasure for the guests stay at Hilltop.

It is a 20-minute walk, of a five-minute bus ride from Hilltop to the Octagon, the centre of Dunedin City. Bus stops are right outside the door with buses running every 20 minutes to Central City and the University of Otago. For those arriving by car, there is ample 24 hour on street parking.

Despite Hilltop’s central location, the house with its beautiful garden setting, is quiet and peaceful; a perfect resting place for the weary traveller.
