Hotel Alqueria de Carrion

Atlixco is the setting, and the hotel occupies a house built during the viceregal period of the 17th century to shelter families who worked the surrounding land. The building has changed use several times since. Ten years ago a family from Atlixco restored it, aiming to bring back what they describe as its soul. It stands in the town centre, the only boutique hotel in Atlixco to belong to the Tesoros de Mexico group. Rooms are light and furnished with care, each fitted with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a television, a kettle for tea and coffee, a hairdryer and a private bathroom. A restaurant on site serves Mexican dishes, and the bar is a fair spot for a drink at the end of the day. Outside there is a swimming pool and a garden, both set within the old walls. The hotel also runs a spa, meeting facilities and a business centre, with valet parking and a front desk staffed around the clock.
