Hotel Alter Lublin
Set inside a sixteenth-century townhouse on Grodzka Street, Hotel Alter occupies one of the older buildings in Lublin's Old Town. The street itself runs through the historic core, close to the Lublin Underground Route and the district's restaurants and shops. Inside, the hotel keeps just thirteen rooms and suites, each with its own decor rather than a repeated template. Rooms range from a 26 m² standard through to the 88 m² Piotr Boniecki Suite, with air conditioning, a mini bar, and a coffee and tea set in every category. The largest, the Staromiejski Lounge, runs to 62 m² and looks over the Old Town streets below. Downstairs, the water and sauna zone holds a pool, steam room, and dry sauna, alongside a spa using Prija and Sothys treatments. The EGO restaurant serves Polish cooking, and there is a billiard hall for guests who want a slower evening. It is a compact stay. Staff can arrange packages that pair a night's stay with a couples' massage and full access to the sauna zone. Parking is available on site, and Wi-Fi runs throughout the building. The result reads less like a chain hotel and more like a converted house that happens to have thirteen very different rooms, each keeping something of the building's original walls and proportions.
