Hotel Annapurna View is set on a ridge at Sarangkot, 1,600 metres above Pokhara, facing the Annapurna range head-on. Rooms are built to keep that view constant: the Deluxe rooms run to 50 m², the Suite rooms to 75 m², both angled so the peaks are visible from bed. It is a compact, view-driven hotel rather than a sprawling resort. Gardens with pergolas and hammocks fill the grounds between the rooms and the terrace, and a shuttle runs guests down to Pokhara International Airport in around 30 minutes.
The restaurant covers Nepali thalis, Indian curries, Japanese rice bowls and grilled Gandaki rainbow trout, with a bar stocking single malts, cognac and a house wine list. The lounge has a fireplace and live music some evenings, and you can watch the light change over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges from its terrace at sunrise or sunset. Outside the hotel gate, the Annapurna cable car links Sarangkot to the valley below in under nine minutes, and paragliding, zip-lining and hiking trails around Phewa Lake are all close by. The design mixes plain modern lines with Wabi Sabi touches — unfinished textures, quiet colour. Check-in and dining both work around that one fixed asset: the mountain wall outside every window.
