Hotel de Schelde

Set directly on the marina front at Cadzand-Bad, Hotel de Schelde puts the North Sea and its beach on one side and the Zeeland coastline on the other. The building holds fifty-one rooms and suites, most with balconies looking over water or dunes. Standard rooms face land or sea, some with a small loggia; Comfort rooms run 25 to 30 square metres with balconies either way. Deluxe rooms extend to 40 square metres and can split into two sleeping areas, useful for a family heading to the sand. Four suites sit at the top: a Harbour Suite with sea view and balcony, a Loft Suite, and two Roof Suites, one over water and one over land. Bathrooms throughout carry rain showers and separate toilets, with soaking tubs in the Deluxe rooms and suites. The restaurant runs lunch through dinner, seven days a week, built on seasonal, market-driven cooking with a lounge for something afterward. Breakfast is cooked live each morning until 10.30am. Two meeting rooms, the Boardroom and a separate garden building called Het Bijgebouw, handle groups up to sixty theatre-style. Covered parking and bike storage sit by the entrance. It is a compact hotel, built for a short walk to the water.
