Hotel de Sterrenberg
The pool room runs warm, heated for comfort and fitted with a two-person lounger, a bench for four, and jets set into standing points around the edges. It is a sauna built for lingering, not a quick pass-through. A second, cooler steam room offers a softer, damper heat as a counterpoint, and a separate swimming pool allows swimwear for guests who prefer it, paired with its own infrared cabin. Hotel de Sterrenberg sits five hundred metres from the entrance to Hoge Veluwe National Park, in Otterlo, and takes no children. Rooms come with air conditioning, television, a hairdryer and an in-room safe. Restaurant Cèpes serves a fixed, market-led menu built around the season, and guests can borrow bicycles, geared or electric, to reach the Kröller-Müller Museum inside the park. A fitness room with cross-trainer, rower and free weights rounds out the facility list. Meeting rooms are available too, ranging from a compact boardroom to a larger hall that can hold up to 40 people, useful for firms combining a day's work with the wellness floor. You can hear little beyond the building itself; several guests single out the quiet. It is a small, adult-only base for walking, cycling and doing very little at all.
