Hotel Drei Raben Nürnberg

Every room here is a story. Hotel Drei Raben calls itself Nuremberg's first theme hotel, and it means the claim literally: sandstone reliefs, text panels and small objects turn each of its rooms into a chapter of local legend, from the foundling Kaspar Hauser to the goldsmith Peter Henlein and his pocket watch. The building stands on Königstrasse, close to the main station and within the old town walls. Standard doubles run to around 20 square metres, plain by design, each fitted with air conditioning, a minibar, a safe and a walk-in shower. Junior suites and suites take on grander myths — a knight who leapt a moat, a street named for human rights — with more space to match. It is a compact hotel, built for wandering the old town on foot. Reception keeps a daily aperitif hour, and the first glass is on the house.
