Hotel Futuro
Futuro Hotel Bishkek is a hi-tech design hotel set a few streets off Chui Avenue, one of the city's main arteries. It holds 20 rooms, each convertible between single and double configurations, fitted with orthopaedic Soft Sleep mattresses and 32-inch interactive LED televisions. Bathrooms are private, with a shower rather than a tub, and every room carries a minibar, a safe and its own workspace. The staff speak English throughout, unusual enough in Bishkek that guests remark on it. A coffee shop runs around the clock, serving tea, coffee and pastries alongside a small library and a stock of free bicycles. There is a business centre with internet, photocopying and printing, plus a luggage room and a laundry and dry-cleaning service. Security is tight for a hotel this size: CCTV, a personal entry card system and round-the-clock guards. Airport transfer can be arranged for a small fee. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and stays of more than three nights come with the added convenience of the hotel's own shuttle into the centre. Reviewers single out the cleanliness and the quiet of the property, tucked into a residential district rather than the tourist core. Check-in runs from 2pm.
