Hotel Grand Noor

Opened as a new addition to Dinajpur's Munshipara district, Hotel Grand Noor was built for a town better known for terracotta temples and a 19th-century zamindar's palace than for contemporary hotels. It has 26 rooms, ranging from Deluxe Single to the Grand Noor Suite, each fitted with air conditioning, an LED television and a mini bar. The building rises above the surrounding low-rise streets, and its rooftop carries an infinity pool with a separate children's section, along with a gym on the top floor. Downstairs, a restaurant with seating for more than 100 serves Bangladeshi, Indian and Chinese dishes alongside pizza and steaks, with kebabs and barbecue cooked to order. A party centre and conference room, both fitted with acoustic-proofed walls, host weddings and corporate events. The hotel sits five minutes from Dinajpur Railway Station and ten from the bus station, with Saidpur Airport about an hour away by road. It is also close to the city's older landmarks: the terracotta Kantajew Temple, the ruined Rajbari palace grounds, and Ramsagar, the country's largest man-made reservoir. Rooms come with complimentary breakfast, mineral water and Wi-Fi throughout. It is a compact, modern base in a district built around history rather than hotels, useful equally for a business trip or a stopover en route to Dinajpur's older sites.
