Hotel Hans Egede

Hotel Hans Egede is Nuuk's hotel of record, standing near the harbour where fjord meets mountain. Rooms run from a compact Economy Twin at 21 square metres to a Clinton Suite and roomier junior suites, each with a flat-screen television and en-suite bathroom. Apartments nearby add kitchens and laundry facilities for longer stays. On the fifth floor, Restaurant Sarfalik Fisk og Skaldyr serves seafood shaped by the seasons and by what local hunters bring in, alongside A Hereford Beefstouw and the daytime Sarfalik Lunch. Skyline Bar sits above them, with a wide list of cocktails, whisky, and rum, and a piano player most nights of the week. You can watch the fjord and the peak known as Store Malene from its windows. Downstairs, HHE Conference & Events runs four plenary rooms and 19 group rooms, built to hold up to 400 delegates, with video-conferencing links for Zoom and Microsoft Teams and interpreter booths for international groups. A fitness room stays open around the clock. Breakfast runs early, with fresh bread and pastries served under the same fjord view that carries through the rest of the hotel. It is a working city hotel, not a resort, and it functions like one.
