Hotel Le Bois De Bruges
The lobby bar runs from cappuccino to cocktail, a small signal of a hotel built for both morning meetings and late evenings. Hotel Le Bois De Bruges occupies a four-star address on Vrijdagmarkt square, in the old centre of Bruges, a short walk from the Groeninge Museum and the Concertgebouw. Rooms range from Comfort Twins to a Suite, several with city views over the square below, and each has individually controlled air conditioning year-round. It is a compact, urban stay rather than a sprawling one. Downstairs, Morningstar serves French-Belgian dishes from late morning, with a terrace looking out over the historic rooftops; next door, Jinga turns dinner into Korean barbecue, guests grilling at their own table, open midweek through the weekend. Three event spaces, De Eik, De Wilg and De Aula, take on names of Flemish trees and hold gatherings from small meetings to conferences of up to 250 people, each with daylight and modern fittings. Underground parking sits beneath the building, with overflow parking directly across the square. The train station is two kilometres away, with a taxi rank waiting outside its entrance. Four rooms are adapted for wheelchair access under Flemish building standards. Breakfast is served in the Greenery room and open to non-guests as well, on reservation.
