Miyajima's dockside villa pairs hot-spring bathing with Seto Inland Sea views

Facing the Seto Inland Sea, the panoramic hot spring bath sits under open sky, its stone-lined tub filled with water drawn from the sea itself. Hotel Miyajima Villa stands close to Miyajima Wharf. Rooms are done in a modern Japanese style, finished with air purifiers, Wi-Fi and private baths, and named for the three sides of local life: the house, the sea, and the mountain. It is a compact stay. A terrace bar on the fifth floor looks toward Miyajima's greenery, open through the evening for a drink or simply a slow half hour under lighting styled after camping gear. Breakfast draws on ingredients from Hatsukaichi and bread baked in-house each morning, and a lobby lounge on the ground floor stays open into the small hours, pouring free soft drinks and playing music for guests passing through. A bar on the fifth floor pours craft gin distilled in Hatsukaichi alongside Japanese sake and whisky, with a short late menu of pasta and pizza. Check-in runs from 3pm, checkout at 11am, and the hot spring stays open from early morning to well past midnight for those staying the night.
