Hotel Peninsula Valdes

Set along the seafront in Puerto Madryn, Hotel Península Valdés faces the same bay where southern right whales gather each winter. The Plaza San Martín and the town's restaurants and shops sit within walking distance. Rooms run from a 22 m² Standard through to the 60 m² Suite Península, and several categories, including the Executive Room and Junior Suite, occupy the eighth floor with private jacuzzis and side views of the sea. The Suite Península adds its own terrace above the water. Sea views are common but not fixed in advance; rooms are assigned on arrival, based on availability. Downstairs, the restaurant serves regional dishes such as slow-roasted lamb and seafood paella, alongside wines from the area, and a spa offers massage and a hot tub. There is also a gym, bar and 24-hour reception. From here, Península Valdés and its wildlife, along with the Punta Tombo penguin colony and the whale-watching grounds at Doradillo, lie within reach for day trips. It is a compact hotel built around that coastal access, more a base for exploring Patagonia's wildlife coast than a destination in itself. Parking is on site, and staff speak more than one language.
