Hotel Rėja

Arriving through Klaipėda's Old Town, guests reach Rėja by way of cobbled streets a few minutes from the harbour. The hotel takes its name from a nautical term for the beam that supports a ship's mast, a nod fitting for a port city, and occupies a building with close to 200 years of hospitality history behind it. Original moldings and the façade survive; everything else has been rebuilt around them. Fifty rooms range from an 11 sqm attic single to a 37 sqm Royal Suite with terrace, and most carry the same material language: chevron-pattern wood floors, marble headboards doubling as art, and integrated wardrobes that keep things uncluttered. Bathrooms mix quartz or granite surfaces with gold-toned fittings. Several rooms look onto the Old Town's red rooftops; others face a quieter inner courtyard. Downstairs, the Rėja Coffee Shop and the long-running Fat Cat pub function as the building's social core, drawing in locals as much as guests. A meeting room holds up to 25 people, and the hotel can be booked in full, all fifty rooms and the pub included, for weddings or private events. Palanga airport is the closest, 33 km out; Klaipėda's train station and ferry terminals are both a short ride away. It is a compact stay, built for a city built on the sea.
