Hotel Royal Evian Resort

Founded to honour King Edward VII, Hôtel Royal has stood above Lake Léman since the Belle Époque and was fully renovated in 2015. It hosted a humanitarian conference in 1938, the Évian Accords, and a G8 summit in 2003, and returns to that role when it hosts the G7 in 2026. The Belle Époque façade survives, along with ceiling frescoes by Gustave Jaulmes, restored rather than replaced during the renovation. It is a five-star palace. Its restaurant, Les Fresques, has held a Michelin star since 2018, and the kitchen now carries the signature of chef Yohan Fatela, whose cooking also runs through La Véranda and L'Oliveraie. Rooms range from the 70 m² Suite Vue Parc to the 207 m² Suite Royale, which has two bedrooms, two marble bathrooms and 60 m² of private terrace over the lake. The evian®SPA was named Best Wellness Retreat for 2024 and 2025 by the World Spa Award. Guests can play the Champions Course at the Évian Resort Golf Club, host of the Amundi Evian Championship, or book the three tennis courts, two padel courts and three pickleball courts set inside the park. You can watch the sun set over the lake from the hotel's main terrace, a ritual guests return for season after season.
