Hotel St. Annen

Arriving at Hotel St. Annen means stepping off a quiet residential street in St. Pauli, a few minutes' walk from the Reeperbahn and its theatres. The hotel has run under private ownership for more than 30 years, with 32 rooms fitted with DAIKIN air conditioning and satellite LED televisions. Each has an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is served daily, largely from regional and organic suppliers, with eggs cooked to order and marmalade made in-house by the breakfast team. The garden terrace functions as a patch of green behind the building, a quiet spot removed from the street outside. In the evening, the St. Annen Bar pours regional spirits and beer from the nearby Ratsherrn brewery, alongside wines from Beaumont Family Wines in South Africa, imported exclusively into Germany by the owner for more than 20 years. Guests can taste them by the glass at the bar or arrange a private tasting on request. The location favours walking, cycling, or public transport over driving: Elbphilharmonie, the Fischmarkt, Landungsbrücken, and Speicherstadt all sit within easy reach, as do several of the city's musical theatres. An underground garage and bike rental are both available on site.
