Hotel Villa Belvedere
Framed by terraced gardens of lemon and orange trees, Villa Belvedere looks out over Naxos Bay to Mount Etna in the distance. Built at the end of the 19th century and opened to guests in 1902, it ranks among the first hotels in Taormina and has stayed in the Bambara-Pècaut family ever since. Restoration over the years has kept the character of the old house intact while adding modern comfort. It sits a short walk from the historic centre.

Rooms vary room to room, furnished in soft, restful colours, and most open onto a private terrace with armchairs, a table, and an umbrella. Some have a small balcony in Juliette style. The Rock Suites occupy a 1940s building steps from the main entrance, five apartments in Italian design. Villa Rigamonti, a detached house set apart in the garden, measures 75 m² and looks toward the bay and the volcano beyond. Villa Maddalena, a private villa the hotel acquired and restored, spans two connected floors lit by full-length windows, with a top-floor terrace over the sea and a bathroom finished in bronze tones.

Breakfast is served on the ground floor beneath rounded arches, with pastries made daily by the in-house pastry chef. The pool restaurant runs from April to October. You can take a Sicilian aperitivo on the terrace as the sun drops behind Etna.
