Hotel Vinifera Wine & Spa

Set into the vineyard slopes above Balatonfüred, Hotel Vinifera looks down over the town and the eastern basin of Lake Balaton. The 111 rooms and suites, spread across three wings, take their share of that view from private balconies, and the hills of the wine region roll away behind the building. Rooms run from a compact 23 m² Classic through to a 72 m² Grand Suite with two bedrooms and its own kitchen. The Premium Suite occupies the top floor, with a terrace facing the Tihany peninsula across the water. Downstairs, the Ambrosia wine bar puts the surrounding region's cellars at the centre of its list, alongside international bottles and dishes matched to them by a sommelier. It is a wine hotel first. A quiet hour is reserved for adults each evening. Guests can hike or cycle the vineyard paths that lead out from the grounds, or play golf nearby. Check-in starts at 3pm, checkout at 11am.
