Every room here has a balcony. That single fact shapes the stay: ninety-five rooms, most fitted with a double bed or twin beds pushed together, each opening onto a view of the hilltop castle or the pool terrace below. Rooms come with television, telephone, minibar and a safe, plain amenities that put the focus outside the window rather than in it. Family rooms take up to three children, and the hotel keeps a supply of cots, bathtubs for infants and high chairs at the restaurant, so the wellness floor doubles as a children's circuit with its own splash pool and slide. The wellness area runs from early morning to midnight and includes indoor and outdoor pools, a steam room, an infrared sauna, a light-therapy bio sauna and a jacuzzi with a view over the water. There is a sun terrace, a bar for a drink between sessions, and a fitness room. The Sirály restaurant serves buffet meals on site, and a separate restaurant nearby offers a set medieval-themed dinner with wine. Check-in runs from 2pm. Bicycles are free to borrow, and staff can arrange a river cruise past the town's fortifications at sunset in summer. It is a hotel built around slow mornings and long soaks, not sightseeing at speed.
