Hotellerie de Chatonneyre
Arriving by the VMCV bus or the funicular from Vevey, guests reach Châtonneyre at the centre of Corseaux, a wine village set into the terraced vineyards above the lake. The hotel opened in 1971. Its 17 rooms and suites were renovated in 2021, each fitted with a desk, minibar, and seating area, and the restaurant was refreshed in 2016 with a terrace built for the view over Vevey and the water below. The restaurant carries the Fait Maison label, meaning dishes are prepared on site from raw, selected ingredients, and its terroir-driven menu changes with the seasons. A weekday lunch board runs Tuesday to Saturday, with two starters, three mains, and a dessert. The dining room seats guests indoors in a plain, contemporary space. Outside, the terrace catches the afternoon sun and opens onto a lounge area. Three function rooms handle events from small private dinners to banquets for up to 300 people, including a top-floor room with its own terrace and lake view. Parking sits free in front of and behind the building, and the Montreux Riviera Card, handed out at check-in, covers public transport and discounts across the region. It remains a family-run address, now in its second generation of management.
