Ikoma Hills

Established on a hillside above the Grumeti River in northern Tanzania, Ikoma Hills overlooks the plains of the Ikoma Wildlife Management Area. The WMA shares a border with the Serengeti National Park and supports populations of lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Nine standard tented suites and one family unit with two separate bedrooms occupy the ridge. Each tent is built in modular form with canvas walls, a wooden deck, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and flushing toilet. Interiors follow a modern safari palette of natural tones. The family unit sleeps four adults across its two rooms. Seven tents can be configured as triple accommodation. A photovoltaic system supplies continuous electricity to all tents and communal areas; hot water is solar-heated throughout. The lodge runs a restaurant, a bar, and a swimming pool positioned to face the Serengeti landscape. Armed rangers and Maasai guides lead walking safaris into the WMA. Game drives depart in retrofitted electric vehicles charged entirely by solar power. Night drives track nocturnal species across the Grumeti zone. The property filters all drinking water on site and operates without single-use plastics. Wi-Fi covers the restaurant and bar; tents remain offline. A campfire gathers guests after dark.
