Invisible Forest Lodge
Invisible Forest Lodge is a cluster of mirrored cabins built into Arctic forest outside Rovaniemi. The property opened with thirteen Invisible Suites, glass-walled boxes clad to reflect the surrounding pines so they nearly vanish among the trunks; a Luxury Log Villa and cabins built from dried silver pine were added later, along with seven Aurora Hut igloos for guests who want to sleep, or dine, under open sky. Each Invisible Suite runs to 40 square metres, with a double bed, sofa bed, full kitchen, private sauna, and a hot tub on its own terrace. The Luxury Log Villa is larger still, at 170 square metres across four bedrooms, built by hand from silver pine logs and set above the river with its own terrace and hot tub. It is a working log structure, not a reproduction. The restaurant seats forty-four and runs three formats: a tasting menu from chef Matias Haapsaari, a hot-rock grill cooked at the table, and a Lappish menu served inside a heated igloo. Its bathrobe dinner sends guests straight from the spa's Finnish sauna to the table, still dressed for warmth. You may spot a reindeer from the window on a quiet morning. The lodge lies under ten minutes from Rovaniemi's centre, near enough for a night out, far enough for the forest to stay dark.
