IRTRA Hostels

Los Hostales del IRTRA is a hotel complex in San Martin Zapotitlan, Retalhuleu, set along the coastal road toward Quetzaltenango and 180 kilometres from Guatemala City. It operates every day of the year. San Martin alone has 192 double rooms, arranged in four two-storey blocks around a central plaza built in a colonial style, each room with air conditioning, cable television and hot water. Twenty-six themed cabins range from timber cabins to a mezzanine unit and multi-room cabins with kitchenettes, sleeping between two and six adults depending on type. Tent camping runs to 23 canvas tents with air conditioning and beds, plus three covered wagons fitted with bunks. Check-in starts at 3pm and check-out at noon. The Corozos spa and sports club adds massage rooms, a sauna and a hair salon. It is close to the Xetulul amusement park and Xocomil water park.
