Ivy House Lunenburg
Two suites above Lunenburg, overlooking city hall and the harbour

Lunenburg's front harbour and city hall park are both visible from the top floor of Ivy House, a heritage home built roughly a hundred and fifty years ago and given a full renovation in 2019. The inn holds just two suites, each around 400 square feet, set across the hall from one another under high ceilings and wide shared corridors. The Parkview suite looks over city hall and the bandstand green; the Honeymoon suite faces the front harbour and comes with a free-standing soaker tub. Decor runs modern Scandinavian with a coastal edge, and each room has its own hot water tank, so the tub never runs cold. It is a quiet address. Church bells carry through the windows, and on summer Sundays you can hear the bandstand concerts from the park below. A hallway cafe sits between the suites, stocked with coffee, tea, sweets, and a mini fridge for cold drinks. The walk to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants takes about two minutes. Guests receive a reusable tote and a gift card to a local cafe at check-in. There is no television in either suite. Free parking is available on site, a rarity in a town built long before cars.
