Arriving by three-hour morning game drive, guests leave Jackalberry Chobe for Chobe National Park in open-backed vehicles at first light. The camp stands beside the Chobe River near Kasane in northern Botswana, ten kilometres from the park gate. Sixteen canvas tents are arranged across the riverbank and surrounding bushveld. Each holds a king-size bed, a private balcony, and an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a freestanding bath. River-view tents face the water directly. Partial-view tents sit closer to the main areas. Bush-view tents are set within the surrounding woodland.
The camp includes covered and open-air dining areas, a bar, a lounge, and an infinity pool overlooking the river. Meals are served buffet-style at candlelit dinners. The property operates on a fully inclusive basis. Three-hour sunset boat cruises depart on pontoon craft along the river, where elephant, buffalo, hippo, and crocodile gather at the water's edge. Guides lead morning game drives through the park to track lion, leopard, giraffe, and zebra. Transfers and guided day trips to Victoria Falls and Livingstone can be arranged. The camp was built using regionally sourced gum poles, timber from sustainable forests, and grass thatch. Solar water heating, LED lighting, and low-wattage air-conditioning run throughout. You can hear hippos from the deck at night. Laundry service and wireless internet are complimentary.
