Jao Camp – Fishing

Jao Camp's surrounding waterways hold several freshwater species, and fishing here is a relaxed way to explore the channels and floodplains from a boat. A limited selection of basic tackle is kept at camp for guests to use. The activity depends on water levels, weather and operational conditions, so it is not offered year-round. Botswana enforces an annual fishing closure across January and February to protect breeding fish, so the activity is unavailable during those months. Outside that window, availability is decided on a seasonal, case-by-case basis rather than guaranteed.
