Jao Camp – Star Bed
A night on an open-air deck under Delta stars
Skip to product information
An elevated deck at Jao Camp is made up each evening into an open-air bedroom, set above the floodplain with nothing between the bed and the sky. Guests fall asleep to the calls of the Okavango after dark and wake to the same view at dawn, with no tent canvas or walls in between. Booking ahead is required, and the experience carries an extra charge on top of the standard rate. It runs seasonally, from April to October, and depends on weather, availability, and whether conditions on the ground allow it that night.
