Jashita Hotel Tulum

The water off Soliman Bay runs pale turquoise over sand, with the Mesoamerican reef close enough to reach by kayak or paddleboard, both kept on hand at no extra charge. Jashita is a boutique hotel built into that shoreline, its suites and villas fitted with smart TVs, minibars, air conditioning and ceiling fans, the sort of detail that reads modern without shouting about it. Soliman Bay itself is one of the less-developed pockets of the Tulum coast, away from the main strip. Rooms open toward the water rather than away from it. Caoba Spa runs along the same sand, offering Mayan-inspired treatments and massage rooms set into the shore rather than behind hotel walls. There is a pool and a terrace for guests who want calmer water than the sea offers. Front desk staff arrange snorkelling, diving and boat trips out to the reef and nearby cenotes, though the hotel itself stays compact and low-key. It is a small, deliberate stay, built around the bay rather than around itself.
