Jollyboys Backpackers sits on Kanyanta Road in central Livingstone, close to the Livingstone Museum, local markets, and grocery stores. Victoria Falls is eight kilometres away; a free one-way shuttle runs there each morning on a first-come, first-served basis, and taxis are available throughout the day.

Accommodation runs from en-suite double, twin, and four-bed rooms with air-conditioning to basic private rooms with fans and shared bathrooms, eight-bed mixed and female-only dorms, and a camping area for guests with their own kit. All private rooms include linen, towels, and a digital safe; dorm beds include linen and a personal locker and USB socket.

On site there is a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a self-catering kitchen, a swimming pool, a bar, a braai area, and a small spa that offers massage, manicures, and pedicures, including a traditional Zambian Ukichina massage. Free airport transfers from Livingstone Airport are available with twenty-four hours' notice. The property runs on an extensive solar panel system — nearly fifty panels — which also powers all hot water and eliminates outages.

The travel desk books the full range of activities in and around Livingstone: whitewater rafting on the Zambezi, bungee jumping and gorge swinging from the Victoria Falls Bridge, microlight flights over the falls, canoeing, horse riding, river cruises, quad biking, and rhino tracking in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. A free Wednesday town walk and a weekly pub crawl are also arranged from the hostel.
