J&R Residence

J&R Residence is a small hotel set 12 metres above the sea on Bohol's Anda coast, facing an offshore coral reef and a stretch of white sand. The property holds six room types, from the Garden House to the Penthouse, the resort's highest point with a 180-degree sea view from its terrace. Most rooms open onto a private patio or balcony looking straight out to the water. The Family Studio runs to 70 m² with a king bed and two singles, while the smaller Ocean Front Apartment sits in a duplex right at the beach front. A pool and the Sea Breeze Bar & Restaurant sit above the shoreline, serving a mix of Filipino and German cooking. Anda's reef runs 15 km along the coast, and the resort works with a nearby PADI dive shop that has mapped more than 30 dive spots offshore. Snorkelling starts in the lagoon just off the beach, with reef and open water a short swim beyond it. At low tide, you can walk the beach into Anda town, past old Talisay trees at Quinale Beach. Kayaks are available for trips along the coast and into nearby mangroves. It is a compact place, with only a handful of rooms and a staff who know most guests by name within a day.
