Kakanfo Inn & Conference Center

Kakanfo Inn is a hotel and conference centre that has operated in Ibadan since 1988. The city itself was once the largest in sub-Saharan Africa, and the hotel sits within reach of the University of Ibadan, founded in 1948, and Cocoa House, long noted as the continent's first skyscraper. It occupies a quiet stretch of New GRA, roughly an hour's drive from Lagos. Executive rooms take a king-size bed and sitting area; Superior Suites add a separate lounge. Every room keeps its own bathroom and fridge. Bisi Restaurant serves Nigerian, Indian, Chinese, Lebanese, European and American menus, while Funke Pool Bar covers faster meals by the water. Room service runs around the clock. Conference space is the hotel's other business. Seven halls range from the 45-seat Nihinlola Hall to the Lekan Are Hall, which holds up to 2,500 guests in theatre style. Smaller rooms suit board meetings and retreats. Guests also get a swimming pool, fitness centre, and Lola Spa for massages and facials. Check-in runs from 2pm.
