Kempinski Seychelles Resort
Set at the foot of Mount Kempinski in Baie Lazare, on the southwest coast of Mahe, the resort sits between granite hillside and the Indian Ocean. Rooms and suites carry lounge areas, rainforest showers and furnished balconies, most looking out over the water or the granite slopes behind. The spa draws on the island itself. Treatments use coconut and vanilla grown locally, alongside cinnamon-based therapies that shift with the seasons, and the building's design takes its cues from the same natural materials found on the grounds. A signature Coco de Mer journey anchors the treatment menu. Facilities extend beyond the spa: an Olympic-sized pool sits at the centre of the resort with a clear ocean view, watched over by lifeguards, and a 24-hour fitness studio runs daily classes alongside its equipment. You can hear the sea from much of the property, given its position between rock and shore. The resort also runs a dive centre, a children's club, several restaurants and bars, and meeting and event space, making it as workable for a family stay as for a couple booking spa days. Spa hours run from 11am to 7pm daily, the pool from 7am to 7pm. It is a compact, self-contained resort rather than a sprawling one, built to a single stretch of coastline rather than spread across the bay.
