Kerama Silent Lodge

Framed by clipped lawns and dense planting, the grounds at Kerama Silent Lodge give the sense of distance from Arusha even though the town lies only a few kilometres away. Birdsong and the murmur of the pool pump are the loudest things you notice after dark. The lodge sits at Moshono, on the edge of Arusha, close enough for a same-day transfer and far enough to feel apart from the road. Four room categories are on offer: deluxe rooms, executive rooms, villas and cottages, each with air conditioning, a flat-screen television, Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. The villas run to seven interconnected units, useful for families travelling together. A restaurant and bar serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with indoor and outdoor seating and takeaway boxes packed for guests heading out to game drives or meetings. It is a compact stay. A swimming pool anchors the garden, ringed by loungers and shade, and jogging paths loop through the grounds for guests who want a walk before breakfast. Conference rooms with projectors and flipcharts serve business groups by day. Airport transfers, private or shared, run on flexible schedules, and staff meet arrivals with a name board. Parking is on-site and gated. The lodge functions as a base for travellers moving between Arusha and the northern circuit parks, not as a wilderness camp itself.
