Kia Orana Villas and Spa

Set back from Rarotonga's beaches in the village of Atupa, Kia Orana Villas and Spa keeps to a quieter corner of the island, four minutes from the airport and five from Avarua. Thirteen self-contained villas range from studio-sized rooms to a 165 m² two-bedroom villa with twin ensuites and a 50 m² deck. Each has a full kitchen, air conditioning and free Starlink Wi-Fi. The Honeymoon Villa runs to 93 m², with a teak four-poster bed and an outdoor bath on a private deck looking onto tropical garden. Grounds include a saltwater pool with three spa pools, an on-site cafe and a spa offering Polynesian and deep-tissue treatments. Breakfast is taken at a guest's own pace. You can hear birdsong over frangipani rather than traffic from the road. The property asks for low music and no parties, and keeps the whole site smoke- and vape-free. It is a small, quiet base. Staff live locally and know the island well, and guests return often for the same welcome from the same few faces at the cafe counter.
