Koleli Flying Base camp

Koleli Flying is a former farmhouse, rebuilt for guests in a mountain village between Lwang and Ghalel, in Nepal's Kaski District. It sits at 1620 metres, on the edge of the Annapurna range, where three private paragliding take-off points lie a short walk from the rooms. The stone-and-timber building keeps its farm bones. Inside, a dorm room, two triple rooms and a double with its own bathroom hold up to fifteen guests, and a stay at a neighbouring farmer's house can be arranged too. Beds carry proper mattresses and duvets, and hot water is standard, a deliberate contrast with the plain village setting around it. The kitchen cooks with rice, millet, vegetables, fruit and eggs grown nearby, served with a French hand from the team who restored the place. You can walk out to trailheads for Mardi Himal and the Annapurna Base Camp route, or simply sit in the garden and watch buffalo being milked in the next field. Days run on yoga, meditation and short treks; longer trips push out toward Korchon and Kumaï for multi-day trek-and-fly routes. The property runs a plastic-free policy and asks guests to carry their own waste back down. It is a working base, not a resort, built by people who know the Annapurna trails on foot and by wing.
