Komba Cabana

Nosy Komba is a small island off Nosy Be, reached by boat and ringed by rainforest and reef. Komba Cabana sits where that forest meets a private stretch of beach, its bungalows tucked among tropical garden rather than lined up along the shore. There are no cars or tuk-tuks on the island. Guests arrive by boat and are met on the sand, often with the family who run the place among the welcoming party. Each bungalow has a private bathroom and mosquito nets, and several open onto sea views and their own terrace. The lodge keeps an on-site restaurant serving food built on local ingredients, alongside a tropical garden run through with flowering paths. A coral reef lies a short swim offshore, where turtles pass through the shallows most days. Guides lead treks into the rainforest behind the lodge and arrange snorkelling, diving, and day or overnight trips to nearby islands including Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Iranja and Nosy Mitsio. The lodge is a member of Botanic Gardens Conservation International, reflecting its planting programme. It was named to National Geographic Traveller UK's 2025 Experiences Collection. The setting rewards a slower pace: there is little to do beyond the beach, the garden, and the water, and that is largely the point.
