Komsan Kampot Resort

Opened in 2024 on ground facing the Damrei range and the Kampot River, Komsan Kampot Resort was built as five separate buildings, each named for a shellfish or sea creature and given its own architecture. The Cockle Building curves like a clam shell and holds six rooms, each with its own bathtub. The Murex Seashell Building takes the form of an octopus, tentacle-shaped extensions and all, with three rooms facing the river on one side and Bokor Mountain on the other. Starfish Building stands beside the main pool, its rooms opening onto private balconies fitted with swings. The Crab Building sits on a working crab farm; guests can watch mud crabs from their rooms, a detail worked into the earth-toned exterior. It is a young property, five kilometres from Kampot's centre. Facilities run to a fitness centre, steam room and sauna, business centre and an infinity pool where the water line meets the horizon. Sunset Grove, the on-site restaurant, serves Asian and Western dishes built around local seafood, with river views at dusk. Quad bikes, kayaks and hydro bikes are laid on for the water and the surrounding rice fields, and Bokor Mountain and Kep Beach sit within reach for a day out.
