Set on a small island in the Raa Atoll, Kudafushi Resort & Spa faces open lagoon on one side and reef-fed ocean on the other. The island sits roughly a 45-minute seaplane flight from Malé, or a domestic flight to Ifuru followed by a short speedboat crossing. Villas run from beach to water: the Beach Villa opens onto a private terrace and secluded shoreline, while the Water Villa stands over the lagoon on stilts, its hardwood floors and thatched roof facing a private sun terrace. Pool versions of each add a plunge pool, and the Presidential Suite links three rooms around a shared pool and living space. It sleeps a family across three keys.
Four restaurants anchor the day: De' North for buffet breakfasts and themed dinners, Olive Me for Mediterranean plates on the east beach, and Sea Edge for Asian dishes over sunset. Juju Bar keeps pouring past midnight. The spa holds eight couple's treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, using avocado, seaweed and aloe in its treatments. You can hear the sea from most terraces, whichever villa you choose. A kids' club runs daily, and a doctor is on call around the clock.
