Set a few kilometres from the main gate of South Luangwa National Park, KuKaya comprises six private villas overlooking a lagoon. Five double villas occupy 250 m² each, holding two tents with bedrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor showers. The single villa occupies 190 m² with one tent. Each villa has a lounge area, veranda, private plunge pool, and firepit. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. Every booking is assigned a dedicated guide, a private vehicle, and a personal host who looks after the villa and its guests throughout the stay.
Game drives depart at times chosen by guests. Walking safaris track wildlife on foot through the park with professional guides and armed scouts from Zambia's Department of National Parks and Wildlife. Night drives extend into the hours when nocturnal species emerge. The property sits within a short drive of Mfuwe Lodge and The Bushcamp Company's six remote bushcamps, allowing guests to combine KuKaya with a circuit deeper into the park's 140,000-acre wilderness area. Sundowners are served in the bush at sunset. Meals are taken in the boma, in the lounge, or on the veranda overlooking the lagoon. Wireless internet, laundry service, and airport transfers are complimentary.
